Believe In Yourself To Succeed

You Will Be Successful When You Accept Yourself

You need to be aware of your strengths and weaknesses. You must accept yourself for who you are and work with what you have. The fact is that you have received all you need to be successful. However, what you believe,  creates your reality. If you believe and accept that you can’t be successful, you will not be. So, believe and accept that you can be successful and you will be.

Successful people accept and work with their personalities, capacities and abilities, because they don’t try to be something they aren’t. When you spend your life regretting everything you don’t have, you will never enjoy the fruits of what you have and was given to you at birth.

Your imperfections make you strong

and your doubts make you wise.

Go forward without fear because success is not final

and failure is not fatal.

Success Is Just A Bit Beyond

Success Is Just A Bit Beyond

Once Desmond Tutu was talking about very big tasks, and said: “There is only one way to eat an elephant: one bite at a time.” That is a good image to bring to mind when we are facing overwhelming projects that may seem daunting, and even impossible. The lesson from the saying is that any task, no matter the size, can be accomplished gradually by doing just a little at a time.

A similar image is created by the concept: Baby Steps, that  are tentative actions which are the first stage in a long or challenging process. You can also refer to concepts like bit by bit, brick by brick, inch by inch. The key concept here is action, that refers to something done so as to accomplish an aim or a purpose. While inaction, is lack of action where some is expected or appropriate.

Most successes are due to action and most failures are due to inaction. You may have the Goal, the Strategy and the Plan, but without action you have nothing. Whether making a phone call, sending an email or physically maneuvering to achieve the next steps, take action. Execution will bring you one step closer to your desired outcome.

Whatever you do, just go forward.

You Have Great Goals… and Now?

You Have Great Goals… and Now?

I know many people that have great and very inspiring goals and they are always talking about their goals… year after year… and nothing happens. Defining your Goals is awesome, but that’s only the first step for success. Your Goals represent what you want to achieve, which defines where the finish line is and what Victory is. The question is: How are you going to reach your Goals? How will you get to the finish line? How will you achieve Victory?

You need to have a strategy to win, and by winning I mean achieving your goal. A sound strategy will successfully ignite your passion and move you forward. Start by dividing your Goal into smaller segments and phases, to simplify the process of thinking about how to get into action, to achieve what you want. The strategy is not the plan, it is the seed or embryo of your plan. Your Goal is what you want to win. Your Strategy shows how you are going to win; and your plan shows where and when each segment and phase of the strategy will happen.

Goal… Strategy… and Go!!!

Mindset To Win

Mindset To Win

What is the difference between Self-determination and Determination? Can they act separately? Should they act together?

Self-determination is your power to make your own life decisions without interference from others, truly being in control of your life, including choosing and setting your own goals. Self-determination means you have the power and the right to choose and decide what you will do with your life and with whom you will do it.

Determination involves persevering towards a difficult goal in spite of obstacles and is very important because it enables you to persist in the face of difficulties, because you go ahead with faith until you achieve your goal. Determination is the inner strength that keeps you on the track toward your goals and that is why successful people act as if success or failure is totally within their control.

Self-determination and Determination are both great concepts.

Together they create the synergy that achieves success.

Be Ballistic

Be Ballistic

I am not talking about your mood, but about your intentions and goals. You must aim not too low and not too high, for your shot to reach the farthest. What you believe about yourself sets your mind to navigate your personal goals to success. If you expect too much or too little of yourself, your Mindsetting will be weak because you will not believe in yourself and you will not have enough fuel to go the distance.

You must challenge the status quo, think bigger and push past your comfort zone, but you need to feel comfortable being uncomfortable, because that’s where real growth happens. That is, don’t get to the point of feeling uncomfortable for going too far out of your comfort zone or feeling comfortable because you never left your comfort zone. Middle point and balance are good concepts.

Believing is a big part of success.

Let’s Talk

Let’s Talk

The definition of conversation is the sharing of thoughts and ideas, which by itself provides a formidable tool for self development, next to reading. The most important conversations to shape your future for success are the ones you have with yourself. Talking with your inner self creates data that improves your mindsettings for success, creating your own concept of who you are and what you want. Talk to yourself, planting seeds of positivity, optimism and growth.

Be effective when you talk to yourself, using words and concepts, through thoughts and a loud voice. Also, add tone of voice, emotions and body language. Finally, when talking to yourself, don’t be passive, aggressive, or passive-aggressive. Be assertive in expressing ideas and feelings, while also considering your own needs.

Starting Is The Key To Success

Starting Is The Key To Success

Fear of taking risks is what may be preventing you from succeeding. You may prefer to stay in your comfort zone where you are in control of your environment, experiencing low levels of anxiety and stress. The issue is that in your comfort zone, nothing will change. To experience change, you need to overcome your fear of the potential risks of starting new activities.

To grow you must go out of your comfort zone, even if it makes you feel insecure and uncomfortable. Taking risks is scary, but a growth mindset requires accepting uncertainty. The way to overcome these negative thoughts is to understand the risks but focus on the positive side of what you will achieve.

Think about the regret you will feel in the future when you ask yourself: “What if?” “What would have happened if?” Even if you fail, you'll walk away with more experience and more knowledge, which will lead you to success in other areas and definitely, you will be more satisfied with your life, because you did it.

To stop future regrets, do it now.

Feedback Yourself

Feedback Yourself

This is how Seneca described his night routine: “I make use of this opportunity, daily pleading my case at my own court. When the light has gone out, I examine my entire day, going through what I have done and said. I conceal nothing from myself, I do not overlook anything. I have nothing to fear from my errors, when I can say: See that you don't do this anymore. For the moment, I excuse you.”

This evening routine is crucial if you want to be your best self. At the end of each day, sit down and review: What did you do today? What did you do well? What you didn't do so well? How could you improve? Do a personal self-assessment every night. If you want to set your mind to growth, you must ask yourself every night questions, such as: What bad habit have I overcome today? What good habit have I acquired today? How have I improved today? This will adjust your Mind settings to growth.

Finally, Self-Feedback is an opportunity to be open and transparent with yourself, about who you are. This transparency will be perceived by others and will make you socially attractive, because people aren’t attracted to the perfection that inspires skepticism. They are attracted to the transparency they can trust.

Have a positive self-talk,
with an honest self-feedback.

Me First

Me First

When you do the right thing you are an example to others. When you love yourself you will be able to love your neighbor. When you learn you can teach. When you grow, you can help others to grow. When you become stronger you can strengthen those around you. When you are healthy you can help others to be healthier. When you are richer you can support others. Investing in yourself is not selfish, it’s God’s Plan.

Be the first so that you can help others to get there. Be the example to follow by taking care of yourself, so that you can take care of others. Investing in yourself allows you to invest in others, to make this a better world. You can give when you have. You need to have knowledge, resources, time, abilities, capabilities and above all, the right Mindsetting, to be able to lead others to a better place in life.

Investing in yourself means changing your Mindsetting to Grow, and for that: Set goals, study, grow your skills, strengthen your finances and health, persevere to acquire good habits and cut ties with your past. This is the way for you to increase your value, because you are worth your own time and efforts.

Lead by example and service.

Do You Live Vicariously?

Do You Live Vicariously?

Vicariously living is experiencing life indirectly, like when the adventure someone tells you, feels like your own. Vicarious, involves experiencing life through stories you are told. Does this vicarious living include TV, gossip, following celebrities lifes, non-stop looking at social networks and virtual reality? Yes!

If you are doing this, you are wasting your life on trivialities, or perhaps more contemporary, on virtualities. Vicarious living gets us nowhere. It’s easy to talk about the latest celebrities’ gossip, the latest disasters or successes of society leaders or the hottest information about our neighbors, friends and family. You will feel the emotion of winning or losing with your favorite celebrities, sport clubs, leaders or people you know, but in reality, you are not winning or losing, they are. In a few hours, weeks, or years, you will not have any results in your life. They will.

Vicarious living is the trap of talking about the important things others did or are doing, and the difference they are making, because your life is boring and you feel you are not doing anything important or making a difference. Is this vicarious living really worth it? Most of what we talk about or dedicate our free time to, doesn’t really matter. Just doing the mental exercise of playing forward what you do with your free time, will help you determine its present value. Train your mind to use the 10/10/10 rule: What will you gain in 10 hours/10 months/10 years time, from what you are doing now?

Take the risk of winning or losing,

but living your own life.

Where Do You Live?

Where Do You Live?

You can’t live in your old house, because you moved out of there. You can’t live in the house you will have in the future, because you haven't bought it or rented it yet. But you can enjoy the house you are living in today and you can fix it, make it beautiful and invest in it to increase its value. The house is your life. You can’t live in the past or wait for the future. You must live the present, fix it and invest in it to have a better future.

The investment principle: You use data from the past, to invest in the present and enjoy the earnings of your investment in the future. The investment is your life: Learn from your past life, invest in your present life and enjoy a better life in the future. Your tomorrow depends on your today, not your yesterday. You can’t fix in the past what was broken in the past, but you can fix in the present what is broken in the present, so that it’s not broken in the future.

The opportunities you missed in the past are gone and you can’t yet take advantage of the opportunities that will come to you in the future. However, the present is full of opportunities that you will miss if you are focused on the past or waiting for the future.

Don’t regret your past.

Avoid your future regrets by fixing your present.
